The car had 75,000miles when purchased. At 90,000 the engine threw a rod and it was replaced witha Ford, GPD long block. The car currently has 112,500 original miles and waslast registered in 1979. The vehicle has been in storage since 1979. The car hasbeen restored in the last year. The engine has been tuned and has a rebuiltHolly 4 bbl carburetor. The vehicle has a new white paint and numerous newemblems and trim pieces. The weatherstripping with the exception of the top hasall been replaced. The interior was redone with new upholstery, door panels,kick panels, carpeting, and all new window and door handles inside and out. Therear springs have been re-arched and all new bushings and rear shock absorbershave been installed. The brake shoes, all springs, wheel cylinders and mastercylinder have been rebuilt or replaced with new. The car has new brake hosesfront and rear. The front sway bar bushings have been replaced and the car hasrechromed bumpers. The dash panel has new chrome reveals and lenses and thegauge needles have been restored to the original color. The only damage was adent in the left rear quarter panel that was repaired prior to my purchasing thecar and a small dent in the valance in front of the hood that was repaired in1974. This car has been in California since it was manufactured at the San Joseassembly plant in 1957. The body and undercarrage are solid and rust free. Thetop works flawlessly.

The first time i saw this pu was about 3 years ago. Did not realize it belonged to one of my customers. He had owned it for 10 years. The best part of this is the fact that he is one of the fussiest persons i know. Little things like the heater cables work soothe and free. In his words: this pickup has 54,000 orig. Miles originally from colorado. It is a very fun driver. Here is what i have done to it: all new leaf springs, all new brakes with shoes arced to match the drums, new front drums, new parking brake cables, rebuilt radiator and heater core, new mcleod clutch assembly, master cylinder and hydraulic throw-out bearing, rebuilt t-10 close ratio 4 speed w/h. Gears, new drive line, new flaming river steering column, new ccp power steering conversion, new odyssey battery, new edelbrock 1404 4 barrel carb., pcv valve conversion, new through fender headers w/ elect. Cut-outs, new exhaust system w/ magnaflows, new tires. When i first drove it, i thought it had the old compound low gear and no synchro transmission i forgot he had a mustang 4 speed transmission rebuilt. This really makes it nice to drive. 272 ford v-8 engine. There are some blemishes in the paint which happens over time. The wild thing about this pu is the exhaust headers going out through the inner fenders. That is what made me remember this pu when i saw it at a show 3 years ago. And it is a short-bed. 1957 ford f-1 short-bed pickup .
